Clinician:

It was great to have CK in clinic this term. He is very energetic and very willing to participate in all the activities. To keep CK from getting distracted from the activities, his clinician, Minh, continually asked him to focus on what they were doing. He also found that if he had CK look at him in the face while giving directions, that CK wasn't as easily distracted. The positive reinforcement that works well with CK is eye contact. He enjoyed individual activities the most, but participated in group activities when asked to.

In the gym, CK has mastered jumping, hopping, sliding, kicking, and running. CK ran 5 laps around the gym one clinic! He has excellent physical fitness. He did need to have assistance for striking and throwing activities. Minh saw a lot of improvement over the term. Next term, CK can work on striking, catching, bouncing, throwing, and kicking with more independence and accuracy.

It was great to see CKg get more comfortable in the water this term. He worked on floating a lot; he usually used a life vest for assistance. CK also worked on his flutter kicked. Next term, CK should work on getting used to the water more, especially getting his face wet. He could also work on kicking and blowing bubbles.

It was great to have CK join us in clinic this term! Minh and the rest of the group truly enjoyed spending time with him! We hope you have a great summer!
