Objective: Visual Patterns
Program 6
Response Definition - CK will put items of increasing length in the correct patterning sequence.
Teaching Procedure - The therapist should present CK with a pattern of several two-dimensional objects like shapes. She should then present another pattern that is almost complete (depending on which set we are working) and ask CK to finish the pattern. He will be presented with two items from which to discriminate and asked, "Make a pattern like mine." "Put them in order." or "Finish the pattern". If CK does not begin to respond within 3 seconds or responds incorrectly, physically prompt him through the entire patterning chain and then immediately re-present the SD. Mastery criteria are 80% for 2 sessions before increasing the length of the sequence.
Data Collection - Provide CK with 10 opportunities per session to correctly complete and/or imitate a pattern. Follow data collection protocol. Let's give CK a variety of patterns at one length before moving on to the next length.
| Targets | Date Introduced | Date Discontinued | Date Reintroduced | Date Mastered |

Set 1 |
| Set 2 CK is presented with an already completed pattern of 5 items, and is required to complete what would be the 3rd repetition Patterning by color (for this category only present colored cards not colored objects since the goal is only patterning by color)Example red, blue, red, blue, red, blue, _____, _____ |
| Set 3 CK is presented with an already completed pattern of 5 items, and is required to complete what would be the 2nd and 3rd repetitions Patterning by color (for this category only present colored cards not colored objects since the goal is only patterning by color)Example red, blue, red, blue, red, _____, _____, _____ |
| Set 4 CK is presented with an already completed pattern of 5 items, and is required to complete what would be the 2nd and 3rd repetitions Patterning by color (for this category only present colored cards not colored objects since the goal is only patterning by color)Example red, blue, red, blue, _____, _____, _____, _____ |
| Set 5 Generalize the previous sets to all color combinations |
| Set 6 Imitate a completed pattern CK presented with a familiar color pattern and asked item by item to imitate it Maximum of 3 repetitions which equals 4 sets of materials |
| Set 7 Set 1 with a 3 item material set Example red, blue, yellow, red, blue, yellow, red, blue, yellow, red, blue, _____ |
| Sets 8 - 12 Correspond to Sets 2-12 but with 3 item material sets |
| Sets 13 - 24 Shapes in the same order as Sets 1- 12 Present only specific shapes, not shaped objects |
| Sets 25 - 36 Objects in the same order as Sets 1 -12 |
| Sets 37 - 48 Colored objects in the same order as Sets 1-12 |
